Constantin George Bolof – Obituary

“Lord, what is man, that you may take cognizance of him, the son of man, that you may take heed to him? Man is like a breath, his days are like the shadow that passes. ” – Psalm 144:3-4

In the city of Hunedoara, on May 25, 1961, in the family of Constantin and Ioana Bolof, a Christian family, the first child was born, Constantin (George/Gigi). God blessed the family with 4 more boys and a girl: Vasile,Viorel, Daniela, Daniel, and John.

As a child, he loved to read; his passion was books, and he read until late at night with the flashlight under the blanket. Being raised in a family of Christians and going to church, upon hearing the Word of God he gave his life to the Lord and made the decision to follow Him, being baptized at the Pentecostal church in Hunedoara in 1979 by pastor Ghergheli Dezideriu. Following this act of baptism, his mother gave him one piece of advice: to be faithful to the end.

At the age of 20, he met Daniela, whom he married in Hunedoara. God blessed them with 2 boys: Daniel and Gilbert. One of his wishes was to get to America. After several trials, God helped them to arrive in California in 1984. It was not easy for them with two little children, but the Lord was with them and helped them by blessing them with two twin boys: Jesse and Joshua. God also allowed in his life some trials, such as the separation from his wife that he would not have wanted to go through, but the Lord’s plan was different for him.

God in His kindness and love allowed him to meet a family of Orthodox Christians who recently came from Romania (Grigore and Lenuta Rus) who had 2 children (Christian and Marius) left behind in Romania in the care of Lenuța’s sister Domnița. Visiting Romania in 1989, he visited the children, and that is how he met Domnita. He spoke to her about the Lord, and she received Him into her heart. They got married and came to America in 1999.

After one year, in 2000, God blessed them with a little girl, Daniela, fulfilling his wish to have a little girl. They had a beautiful life , they were happy together and blessed by the Lord. He was a kind and loving husband, a loving father, and he loved his children with all his soul and for him, family was the priority.

He loved the Lord, he loved the church, showing his love to his brothers whenever they needed it. He was loved and appreciated by his bosses and colleagues , being a light for them. His heart was filled with joy and happiness, and he was looking forward to the wedding day to take Daniela to the altar to give her to Matthew, asking for God’s blessing upon them and to rejoice together. However, God’s plan was different; to call him home and meet his first son, who at the age of 26 the Lord called home. Now they rejoice together in the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ.

His departure from us on September 23rd was shocking, leaving behind a grieving wife Domnita, their daughter Daniela, who is going to marry Matthew Ardeleanu, and the three boys and their families: Gilbert and Jessica with grandchildren Aria and Elias, Jesse and Ashley with grandchildren Remmi, Rylan, and Joshua.

You will remain eternally alive in our hearts until the day of the reunion!!!

“I fought the good fight, I finished my run, I kept the faith. From now on, the crown of righteousness awaits me, which the Lord, the just Judge, will give me that day. And not only to me, but also to all who will have loved His coming. ” – 2 Timothy 4:7–8
