Viorel Captiu

Viorel Captiu, son of John and Sofia Captiu, was born on December 25th, 1937, in Neagra, Alba County, being the smallest of six siblings. He finished his primary education in his native town, high school in Alba Iulia, and hydrological technical school in Bucharest. He was a faithful employee, and took joy in completing his job responsibilities to the best of his ability. He worked for 36 years at the Ploiesti Hydrological Station.

In 1964 he married Dina Munteanu and had a daughter, Cristina Madalina. In 1989 he arrived in the United States in Troy, Michigan. Here he repented and was baptized by brother Beni Cocar. After only six months he settled in Atlanta, becoming a member of the Romanian Baptist Church in Atlanta. He liked to read the word of God, and wanted to know more closely the one who sacrificed and gave him eternal life.

Brother Viorel Captiu leaves behind his wife Dina, daughter Madalina with husband Corneliu and two grandchildren Abigail and Andrew.

We thank God for His exceedingly great love and grace in which He also included Viorel!
