Silviu Gligor was born on January 27, 1938 in Valcani, Timis County, to parents Gheorghe and Maria Gligor. Together with his family at the age of 6 he moved to Timisoara.
In 1955 he met Ileana Bejenariu with whom he married in 1956. In their family in Timisoara, 2 daughters Daniela and Angelica were born.
In August 1987, he and his wife arrived in Georgia, United States, where they settled in Georgia. They attended the First Romanian Baptist church where in 1987 they surrendered their lives to Jesus and in November they were baptized by pastors Martian Cocian and Titi Cocian.
Silviu loved the Lord Jesus, the Church and the brothers but also valued and loved the family.
Silviu was fascinated by nature and spent time outside fishing and gardening. He was the type of person who was happy when he could help someone.
In 2020, God fulfilled his desire to see his first great-grandson whom he loved very much.
On April 21, 2020, surrounded by his family, Silviu left to be with the Lord.
He left behind his wife Ileana, 2 daughters Daniela and Angelica with sons-in-law Gigi and Florin, 4 grandchildren Rafael with his wife Jen, Beatrice with her husband Benny, Alin with his wife Bianca and Denise with her husband Harold, and his first great-grandson Levi.
