Ana Nicoara was born on April 21st 1934 in the city of Campia Turzii, Cluj county, the daughter of Mihail and Maria Latis. Her father died when she was only two years old, thus both she and her older sister, Maria, being fatherless, were raised up by their mother and maternal grandparents in mom’s native village, Viisoara.
She accepted Jesus and got baptized in the local church of Viisoara when she was 14 years old, then shortly after, both sisters move to Campia Turzii where Ana starts working in the local company, and becomes an active member of the church.
She meets the young man Filip Nicoara during their youth services, and marries him on June 14th 1958. The Lord has blessed their family with five wonderful children: Gabriel, Dorian, Lucia, Mihai, and Ovidiu.
They have been committed Christians and spent a memorable time in church because they’ve experienced the sweet aroma of fellowship with precious brothers from all over the country; additionally their home has been permanently opened to everyone who visited.
In 1983 the Nicoara family decided to move to the United States in order to give the kids the opportunity of a Christian education, and they establish their first residence in Hickory, NC.
On November the 4th 1984 our sister Ana Nicoara and her entire family take part in their first Christian service at the First Romanian Baptist Church of Atlanta, and she will be an active member here until she went to be with the Lord at the dawn of February the 4th 2016.
In spite of her bodily weaknesses over the years, Ana Nicoara loved the Lord and faithfully served him, served her family, raised up her grandkids, being actively involved in the ladies’ ministry of the church.
Our sister Ana Nicoara is leaving behind her five kids ( and their families): Gabriel, Dorian, Lucia, Mihai and Ovidiu , as well as a significant number of grandkids: Joshua, Jonathan, Benjamin, Nathalie -Joy, Nathan , Justin, Josiah, Sarah , Ruth, Matthew, Elena, Colin, the twins: Joseph & William; and a great granddaughter, Olivia, as well as her sister: Maria Niculas with her family.
May God speak to us and comfort us on this occasion, when we experience the temporary separation/trial we are going through!
We thank the Lord for a wonderful role model we’ve had in our sister’s life, Ana Nicoara.
