At FRBC–Atlanta, unity in Christ Jesus is what enables us, The Body of Christ, to work together for His glory and our blessing, as a family in Christ. At FRBC–Atlanta, the women’s ministry aims to live out Christ’s commission – that of proclaiming His Great Name, at any opportune time, in any place. Romans 12: 5-8 tells us that “For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.”
Because we are all possessed of different gifts according to the grace given to us, the women’s ministry at FRBC–Atlanta exists to equip and empower women to reflect Christ’s Love to all those around us. We must never cease or become weary in doing good but “consider how we may spur one another toward love and good deeds.” Hebrews 10:24.
What does that look like in the women’s ministry at FRBC–Atlanta? How may we spur one another toward love and good deeds? Well, just as no one vessel in the Body of Christ is identical, no one woman is identical, but we are all called to unify under the singular call to represent Christ with our time and talents.
At FRBC–Atlanta, women play a unique role in the Body of Christ and are encouraged to train, teach, mentor and lead others, as God’s Word instructs them. It is our hope to help grow the gifts that characterize each woman of God, in any way possible.
Whether a woman identifies more with Mary, who knelt at the feet of Jesus and lent her ear to His teaching, or more with Martha, whose take charge way found her hands and feet move to the needs around her, we pray that all of the FRBC–Atlanta women answer the call to work in God’s growing field. The time is now. The workers are few. The need is great. Come and join us and be a part of God’s Great Harvest!
So that we may work toward such a specific calling, it is our privilege to partner with the women of FRBC–Atlanta to:
- Minister to women’s needs through prayer, praise and thanksgiving
- Facilitate women’s own spiritual learning and growth through Bible study, prayer and reflection
- Work toward the proper building up of Godly children and youth through Sunday School classes, AWANA, Praise and Worship, and other church building initiatives
- Celebrate and strengthen the family unit through fellowship and service oriented activities
- Encourage women to harness their own talents and abilities and place them to work in whatever capacity that enables them to glorify God, in the home, church, community and abroad
We must never forget that —
“… We are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” – Ephesians 2:10
Let us never tire, let us never cease in fulfilling God’s will for our lives. “Let us not grow weary in well-doing, for in due time we will reap a harvest, if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9.
