SUMMARY:Memorial Service for Brother Petru Dărăbuț
DESCRIPTION:John Popa\, age 71\, of Auburn\, Georgia\, passed away on August 7\, 2026. He was born on February 2\, 1955\, in Sicula\, Romania\, to Ioan and Zena Popa\, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his beloved wife\, Lidia; their daughter\, Diana\, and her children\, Jonathan\, Madeleine\, and Aimee; and their son\, Daniel\, his wife\, Zoë\, and their daughter\, Ava. \nIn Romania\, he is survived by his two younger brothers\, Mircea and Doru Popa\, and their families. He was further loved by extended family in both Romania and the Atlanta area. \nJohn was a craftsman carpenter by trade\, and woodworking was his art. He poured his heart into every piece he built. Whether crafting furniture or remodeling a home\, he approached each project as an act of love\, offering his skill and care to family and clients alike. His clients often became close friends\, cherishing not only his work but the conversations and companionship that came with it. True to his relentless\, go-getter spirit\, he passed peacefully\, in the midst of the craft that brought him such joy. \nJohn was a devoted and Godly husband\, father\, and grandfather. His children and grandchildren loved nothing more than spending time with him\, drawn to the kind warmth that brought peace to everyone around him. \nHe loved the Lord and was baptized in his youth. He was deeply involved in his church community\, cherishing its fellowship and faithfully serving in many ways throughout his life. John lived with love for his family and faith in God. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Family\, friends\, and the many clients whose homes and lives he touched. \nHis family is deeply grateful for the kindness and support shown during this time.
