DESCRIPTION:Cristian Marius Selagea 6/9/1975 -6/24/2024 \nCristian Marius Selagea (Cris or Kiki) left this side of heaven and stepped into glory\, on June 24th\, 2024\, at 6:35PM\, after a very long battle with MS. He is survived by his wife Ioana\, his son Gabe\, parents Timotei and Ligia\, sister Daniela and brother-in-law\, Sorin\, his nieces and their families\, aunts and uncles here in the States and in Romania\, many cousins and in law family in Romania. He is also survived by an even larger group of close friends who made the choice to join Cris’ difficult journey and offered help\, love and compassion in some of the most difficult moments of his life. \nWith the help of his close family and friends\, Cris lived a full life\, raised an amazing son and made his wife and parents proud\, traveled and made many memories\, loved the Lord with all his might\, witnessed our Jesus to as many people he could and didn’t complain at all when the illness took its toll on his body. His beautiful and serene smile was his signature and the memory many people that knew him will keep in their hearts and minds. \nCris was born in Ocna Mures\, Romania and moved to United States of America when he was 9 years of age. He lived for one year in Chicago\, after which his family moved to Atlanta\, Ga. He was part of the First Romanian Baptist Church family and was loved by many. \nHe loved the Lord from a young age and understood he was forgiven of his sins and saved through Jesus’ sacrifice at the cross. He got baptized in 1989 at First Romanian Baptist Church and was part of this church and community until he took his last breath. He loved learning from the Word\, serving and singing. \nOn July 31st 1999\, Cris met Ioana and shortly after\, he asked her to be his wife. They got married in October 9th\, 1999 and started their lives together. A month later\, they would receive the devastating diagnosis of MS\, which would change the course of their lives. While not easy\, they learned to rely on the Lord and the help of close family and friends and trust God would provide the necessary strength each step of the way. \nOn July 31st\, 2004 they welcomed their miracle baby\, Gabriel Cristian\, who grew up to be an amazing source of joy for the entire family\, but especially for Cris. The bond they developed can’t be described into words. He loved the beach\, cars\, spending time with his family and friends and adored food\, chocolate and Romanian deserts. \nHe also loved to praise God through music and the Desculti event was the highlight of the year. He loved to make friends and he never met a person he couldn’t find something to talk about. He was kind\, loving\, generous\, funny and an amazing son\, brother\, husband\, father\, uncle and friend. \nThe wake will take place on Friday\, June 28th\, at 7:00pm at First Romanian Baptist Church: 1280 Lawrenceville-Suwanee Rd\, Lawrenceville Ga\, 30043. \nFuneral service will be held Sunday\, June 30\, 2024\, at 3:00 PM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Hamilton Mill Memorial Gardens.
